The song’s title translates ”The Summer In My Winter” and it’s a beautiful love song, with clever, although poem-like lyrics (some of the lyrics, translated in English, are: ”Hide me as far as you can/In page of a book/So I can get lost between the grey letters/Until another look/Will read the story/Without being able to stop”; the Chorus translates: ” You were once/ The summer in my winter/But I hid you next to me ...”).
The sound is a subtle and very clean Chamber Pop with delicate cello and strings in the background at certain points, highlighting and emphasizing the voice of GENU, who, like his other songs, can make easy transitions from a translucent whisper to a grunge or alternative rock style.
”The Summer In My Winter” is the ninth single released by GENU, the third in Romanian.
